Allow this season to embolden you, but in a way that you never considered to be a form of bravery before. We’re talking about your relationships. Admittedly, you haven’t been putting in a lot of value into your relationships. You might have been guilty of giving little or no regard to how you treat others, and on the other hand, you might have also been unintentionally allowing yourself to be treated in a way you know you don’t want to be treated. Learn to value your relationships more, but be careful not to compromise your own needs for others. Have boundaries and take it upon yourself to call out those that cross them. If you lose people the moment you verbalize your needs, that’s your way of knowing where you stood with them to begin with.

Keep in mind:

Any relationship that could be ‘ruined’ by having a conversation about feelings, standards, or expectations wasn’t really firm enough anyway, so there isn’t much to ruin.

You are still the center of your universe, but a universe still comprises of more than one celestial body. Keep this metaphor in mind when knowing when to give to others, and when you know they’ve taken enough. In as much as we need others, we need to look after ourselves, too.
